Abstract
Weiss discusses the diversity of needs interpreters meet in working with the deaf-blind community. The article notes the differing amounts of residual hearing or sight people who are deaf-blind have. It also explains the different modalities used by deaf-blind communicators and the different methods of communicating depending on the deaf-blind person's preferences.
