Abstract

Texas is a unique part of the United States of America and a place where a group of dedicated students spent their Spring Break. Through the Alternative Break Program, students were helping individuals who are experiencing food insecurity, and those who are currently rebuilding their homes in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. We learned the importance of helping others, and recognizing that natural disaster relief and recovery is a long lasting effort.
