Abstract
A short lyrical prose essay exploring the environmental dissonance of human interactions in nature. Using art and language, this essay dives into the paradoxes of recreation, such as angling and boating, and the environmental impacts that humanity leaves in its wake. I draw from my experiences as a soldier and outdoorsman to illustrate how spaces and places impact our lives and memories.
