Come and explore an interesting geometry question. An average soccer ball is made up of two shapes: Pentagons and Hexagons. Calculating the areas may seem like a simple concept, but the shapes are skewed once wrapped around a round surface. First, an estimate for our proposed question will be made using planar geometry. Next, we will delve into the world of spherical geometry to find an exact answer.
