Abstract
Physical activity following a stroke plays a vital part in both the physical and psychological recovery processes. The goals of rehabilitation include overcoming losses or deficiencies in functionality and preventing further declines in health. Evelyn is a women in her 70's who, following a stroke, wants most to be able to return to her favorite hobby, gardening. This presentation will highlight our project to get Evelyn gardening again. We will discuss the importance of PA for Evelyn, overview our PA program specifically designed for Evelyn, and discuss specific adaptations and reasoning for prescribed exercises.
