Abstract

Pandemic Tracker provides a dashboard to seamlessly provide users with relevant information they need to know about COVID-19. Visiting our site, users can first look at COVID-19 symptoms and warning signs as provided by the CDC, WHO, and other governing health organizations. Here users can also view advise on whether or not to seek medical attention. Part of our goal is to provide users with the relevant information they need to make informed decisions about their health.

Pandemic Tracker accomplishes this goal through providing real time statistics on COVID-19 statistics, public policy, and projections for the future. First we provide users with “COVID-19 at a glance” which is a widget that displays cases, deaths, and recovery numbers in the United States. This provides users a way to quickly update themselves on the current situation without having to take a deep dive into statistics, numbers, and info-graphics. But for users that want more, we have provided “COVID-19 Projections” a widget that allows users to select their geographical area and receive in-depth statistics for this area. These statistics include information on social distancing orders, daily infection rates, testing information, daily deaths, and hospital resource use. Statistics are provided in real time as well as offering projections for the future.
