Abstract

The Paideia method of teaching emphasizes discussion and the democratic process. It has seen a fair amount of success in smaller school settings with most Paideia schools boasting a graduation rate of over 80%, it may be time for larger school districts to think about implementing a Paideia curriculum in order to achieve higher graduation rates. This presentation explores the feasibility of implementing a Paideia program in larger school districts in order to achieve a higher level of rigor and graduation rates among the student body.
