Abstract

For people who have trouble waking up in the morning, the Puzzle Alarm Clock is a personalized alarm clock that is deactivated by solving simple puzzles involving logic and reasoning, arithmetic, and spatial recognition. There are various types of puzzles, as well as various levels of difficulty for each, procedurally generated so that you don’t simply learn the puzzles by memory. Unlike other puzzle alarm clocks, our product also allows you to “bail out” and ask for hints to various puzzles, but at a cost -- the system keeps tracks of these failures month by month.
