Abstract

This project was given as a scenario where I acted as a fourth grade teacher at a school whose physical education classes are being taught by a physical education specialist who travels around the district delivering physical education instruction as well as acting as a consultant for the classroom teachers. Unfortunately there have been budget cuts and the school district has decided to eliminate the physical education program. As a teacher who cares for her students and is aware of the importance of physical education, a positional report was created to present to the school board to justify the need, role, and educational worth of elementary physical education.
