Abstract

Joseph Louis Lagrange, one of the greatest modern analysts, gave a series of lectures at École Normale in 1795 on elementary mathematics to further mathematical understanding. This presentation goes into great detail on Lagrange’s Lecture III. On Algebra, Particularly the Resolution of Equations of the Third and Fourth Degree.
