Abstract

Alternative forms of treatment for insomnia and depression will be examined in this presentation. Chinese Traditional Medicine is not commonly practiced in Western cultures, but is becoming increasingly popular. Acupuncture is seen as one of the main treatment methods in Chinese Traditional Medicine practices. A comparison of Western medicine and acupuncture will be discussed in this presentation to provide examples for the different aspects in the treatment style. Review of case studies will support and better identify the benefits of acupuncture for treating both insomnia and depression illnesses.
