Abstract

The presentation will focus on Latino immigrants that come to the United States, and the cultural differences this population faces today. It will also discuss the struggles and barriers of unmarried Latino mothers’ experience. First generation children difficulties in the education system, and the Latino views on disabilities will also be discussed. In conclusion, the presentation will educate and help people understand the Latino culture, and will provide counseling techniques on how to counsel this population.
